Chip Cookies Plants Flagship Location at High Line Square in Downtown Provo

Coming home to the smell of chocolate chip cookies will be one of the many perks of living at Provo’s tallest residential tower.

Provo, Utah --April  22, 2019-- 2nd Story Real Estate has reached an agreement with Chip Cookies, the original gourmet cookie delivery company, to locate their flagship shop in High Line Square, Provo’s tallest residential tower, scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2020.

Located diagonally across from the Provo Recreation Center on Freedom Blvd., the 85 foot-tall, mixed use development will be a prominent new feature of the Provo skyline. The seven-story design includes 100,000 square feet and 67 premium residential units ranging from studio to three-bedroom units, including five penthouses with private elevator access. Residents will enjoy the community garden, barbecue grills, fire pit, and lounge area on the building’s signature third-floor roof-top deck overlooking downtown Provo.

Sean Wilson, CEO of Chip, says the new location is ideal for delivering warm cookies to the young professionals who live in the downtown area. “Our first location was next to where High Line is being built and has been extremely successful for us. We are thrilled to become a permanent fixture of downtown in such a beautiful new space.” Since its founding in 2016, Chip has expanded to eight locations spanning from Provo to Boise, with more to come.

“We are delighted that Chip shared our vision of what the new High Line Square project will offer to downtown Provo,” said Josh Godfrey, Managing Director of Real Estate for 2nd Story Real Estate. “A lot of people would rather live a walkable lifestyle in a place like High Line that has some character than feel like they are living in a chain-restaurant style apartment in a mall parking lot somewhere in the sprawl of Orem. We are proud to provide an alternative.”
“Chip Cookies is a fantastic part of our downtown” said Quinn Peterson, Executive Director of the Downtown Provo organization. “I’m glad they have a presence in our downtown that can help contribute to our growing environment and business community.”

In addition to becoming a new Provo landmark, the High Line Square will feature a unique living environment for residents who want to enjoy an urban lifestyle. 2nd Story is designing the amenities, such as a yoga room, community library, and  multiple community lounges, to cultivate a community among the residents. Although the location is a short walk across the street to the Provo Rec Center or down a block to Smith’s grocery store and the rest of downtown, residents will have access to covered parking, with 20 percent more parking spots than required by code. The building will also offer secure bike storage. The location of High Line Square has been home to several community-oriented businesses, including the Geezo Dance Hall, Ozz Pool hall, and Racers Bike Shop.
